Who we are
The International Club (IC) of The Bahamas was established in 1988 as one of seven new ICs formed during the 1980s. The club belongs to the worldwide network of International Clubs dedicated to promoting camaraderie, sportsmanship, and international friendship through tennis, under the Council of International Lawn Tennis Clubs, founded in 1947. The Bahamas IC membership is invitational only and made up primarily of players who have represented The Bahamas, won national titles, and demonstrated the sportsmanship and support of the game that merit inclusion. At the committee’s discretion, we may also include strong players who have made outstanding voluntary contributions to tennis in The Bahamas through administrative work, officiating, coaching, or similar service to the game.
