THE ROD LAVER NORTH AMERICAN IC JUNIOR CHALLENGE

Following last weekend’s Laver Cup between Europe and The World, our own IC version is coming up, with the support of IC Member Rod Laver.

From October 13–17, the Winterbotham Bahamas IC Junior Team will compete at the JTCC Academy in Washington, DC against teams from the USA, Canada, Mexico and Barbados.

The 16 & under competition features teams of two boys and two girls competing together in singles and doubles in a round-robin format.

Captained by Neil Mactaggart, the Bahamas team includes Patrick Mactaggart (U16 National Champion), Chase Newbold, Addison Munroe (Girls National Champion and Ladies National Finalist) and Breanna Houlgrave (Junior Championship runner-up).

JTCC has produced top players including Frances Tiafoe and Robin Montgomery, who previously competed in the Rod Laver IC Junior Challenge Worldwide Finals.

We wish our team every success and a memorable experience in the true IC spirit:

“Hands across the net, friendship across the ocean.”
